Why does that sad little stump sport such a Trollface? Because it's a jerk.
It was originally a seven foot tall, fifteen year-old, Coral Honey Suckle vine.
It didn't give a flying fuck what season it was. It would bloom whenever it damn well pleased. What was this "winter dormancy" science spoke of?
Then the caterpillars came and ate 90% of the foliage... in less than six hours.
Then the whole plant up and died. We had to use power tools to extract the dead vine from the wrought-iron support it had commandeered so many years ago.
Then we got to this last little section of plant. I tearfully peel back the dead Lamb's Ear from around the base, saying goodbye to the vine I had cared for as long as I have lived in that house.Son of a Bitch!
I see green. Green, healthy, vines! I just got trolled by a damned plant.
